What has changed with your Fuel program?
The fuel program now allows you to combine monthly point balances when redeeming at Jay-C and participating Shell locations.
Does this change how points are earned?
No, points are still earned by month as they are today, but now when you go to redeem your points, the current and prior month balances combine for a larger discount using the prior month's balance first.
How do I earn fuel points?
There are a few ways in which you can earn points in Jay-C stores:
1. Spending on groceries (normal exclusions apply): $1 in Groceries = 1 Point
2. Non-federally funded Prescriptions: 1 Prescription = 50 Points
3. Double Gift Card Points (normal exclusions apply) for example, $50 in Gift Cards = 100 Points
4. Look for additional opportunities to earn points throughout the year.
How long do I have to use my fuel points?
Points remaining after a fill-up are available to use through the end of the following month in which they were earned. When filling up, your prior month and current month balance will be combined for a discount and the prior month balance will be used first. For example, if you have 200 unredeemed fuel points from January and 300 fuel points in February, these will be combined at the pump for a discount of 50¢ per gallon discount. The 200 points earned in January expire at the end of February if not used.
Can I still save up to $1 per gallon at Jay-C or 10¢ per gallon at participating Shell locations?
Yes, you can still choose how you would like to use your discount to receive savings of up to $1 per gallon redeeming up to 1,000 points in a single fill-up on fuel at Jay-C and you can still save 10¢ per gallon at participating Shell locations when redeeming 100 points for 10¢ off per gallon. For each increment of 100 points redeemed, 10¢ off per gallon will be awarded.
o 100 points = 10¢ off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up at Shell.
o 100 points = 10¢ off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up at Jay-C.
o 200 points = 20¢ off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up at Jay-C.
o 1,000 points = $1 off per gallon of fuel for 1 fill-up at Jay-C.
Do Gift Card purchases count toward fuel points?
Yes. Gift Card purchases count towards your points with the exception of the Kroger Family of Stores Gift Cards, Green Dot cards, MoneyPaks and 1-2-3 REWARDS® Visa prepaid Debit Card and ReCharge Card™.
Where can I find out what locations I can redeem my points for a fuel discount?
You can find the closest locations to redeem points for a fuel discount at the bottom of your Jay-C grocery receipt inside the store or online at jaycfoods.com using the “Find Stores” at the upper right hand corner.
How does the process at the Shell pump work?
1. If paying inside, see cashier BEFORE inserting your Jay-C Plus Card.
2. BEFORE you insert your payment card, follow the screen prompts to initiate the Jay-C discount.
3. Insert your Jay-C Plus Card, or manually enter your alternate ID or your Jay-C Plus Card number found on the back of your card or key fob.
4. Select your form of payment and fuel grade.
5. Save up to 10¢ off per gallon up to a maximum of 35 gallons of fuel, per vehicle, per purchase.
Can I choose my discount at Shell locations?
No. At participating Shell locations you can only use 100 points at a time.
Is there a limit of how many fuel points I can earn?
No, there is not a limit on the number of points you can earn.
Is there a limit of how many fuel points a Customer can redeem at once?
There is a limit of 100 points that can be redeemed in a single fuel fill-up at Shell. However, up to 1,000 points can be redeemed for up to $1 off per gallon at Jay-C Fuel Centers. Fuel Savings are limited to 35 gallons.
How do I keep track of my fuel points?
Your current points balance is located at the bottom of your Jay-C receipt. You may also check your points balance on our website (jaycfoods.com) by registering your Jay-C Plus Card number online (select “Create an account” in the upper right hand corner). Once you have registered your card online, select “My Points” to view your current points balance.
Can I choose not to use my discount at the fuel pump?
Yes. If you do not want to use your point savings at a Jay-C fuel pump, select option number 3 when prompted for discount options and your fuel points will remain on your shoppers card for future use and you will be rewarded an everyday discount for presenting your card.

At participating Shell locations do not insert or key in your Jay-C Plus card number to save fuel points for later. Shell locations do not reward everyday discounts for presenting your card.

Do I need to register for this program?
Customers can simply use their existing Jay-C Plus Card to receive their fuel discounts. If you have a Jay-C Plus Card, you have everything you need to start shopping and earning points. If you want to sign up or need a replacement Jay-C Plus Card, just visit the Service Desk at your local store.
