Ingredients
- 1 lb. Kentucky Cattlemen’s Ground Beef
- Dan-O’s Original Seasoning
- 4 Kroger Brand Pepper Jack Cheese Slices
- 4 Kroger Brand 100% Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns
- Walkerswood Mild Traditional Jamaican Jerk Seasoning
- Duke’s Mayonnaise
- 1 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 mango, thinly sliced
- 1 avocado, sliced
- Grace Green Plantain Chips
Recipe Steps
- Divide ground beef into equal patties.
- Season both sides with Dan-O’s Original seasoning.
- Grill patties over medium-high heat until fully cooked, ensuring a safe internal temperature of 160°F.
- During the last minute of cooking, top each patty with a slice of pepper jack cheese and allow it to melt.
- Toast hamburger buns on grill.
- In a small bowl, blend Jamaican jerk seasoning and mayonnaise until smooth.
- Now assemble. Spread mayo mixture on bottom of hamburger bun.
- Add grilled patty with melted cheese.
- Top with thinly sliced red onion, mango, and avocado.
- Add a handful of plantain chips
- Add top of bun, serve immediately and enjoy your 2026 Kentucky Derby Festival Derby Burger!
