Grilled Skewered Shrimp with Calabrian Marinara Sauce

Recipe Ingredients:

  • 25 large shrimp, cleaned and deveined
  • ½ jar Vero Gusto® Calabrian Marinara from Barilla®
  • ⅔ cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. Italian parsley, chopped
  • 5 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil, divided
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 lemon
  • Sea salt, to taste
  • Ground black pepper, to taste

Recipe Directions:

  1. In a small bowl, combine garlic, parsley, breadcrumbs, 2 tablespoons olive oil, salt and black pepper.
  2. Skewer shrimp; coat with breadcrumb mixture. Drizzle with remaining olive oil. Grill on both sides until shrimp are thoroughly cooked and breading is golden brown.
  3. Serve with warm marinara sauce, separately as dip or use as topping. Garnish with lemon.
